Readers Digest
I dropped the ball this week. It was Thursday night; I hadn't worked on a blog for this week and had absolutely no inspiration for a topic. My mom suggested I do a Reader's Digest-type style. I have 4 topics that I want to write about; some I've been wanting to for a while but would be too short for an individual blog. Besides, I only have a few more[...]
Recap Week
Sunday, March 16th: Tian asked Mirjam if we could stay in Taipei one more day to go wedding dress shopping. We went to 4 shops that were in the most obscure locations; I have no idea how she found them. They aren’t your typical Western wedding dress shops that you can see a mile away. Indispensable: A Disability & Ministry in Asia-Pacific Conference.
Warning: this blog post is super long. Life-changing. If I could describe the conference in one word, it would be that word. I had an amazing time. I find it very interesting to see how different Taiwan is compared to Canada, and I would[...]
Another Recap

It has also been great serving the residents at Bethesda and becoming friends with them. I've had some time to myself, but I'm super busy with working, choir practices, drama practice, and watching dance practice, as[...]
Residents of Bethesda pt 1
As I mentioned before, there are 110 residents living in Bethesda. It is a place that cares for kids/teens/adults who have special needs, whether physical or mental, and provides them with real-life skills while also teaching them about God. Bethesda is very well run, everything is extremely organized. This is the Monday-Friday schedule for the House of Hope residents: 7 am the residents get up. They have to make sure their[...]
