Last Post Before I Go

新年快乐! Happy Chinese New Year!

Wow, 6 days until my friend Kajsa and I leave. Time really does fly. The last few days have been busy with work and finishing the final necessary things for my trip.

Today was my last day of work. I was sad to say goodbye but felt much better knowing it’s only for 3 months and that I’ll be coming back to my job, which is really nice.

On January 12th, Kajsa and I went to visit the church that is a part of Liberty Corner Canada. They wanted to meet us and our families, and it was nice to see in person the people who will keep us in their prayer while we’re there. We were able to share a little bit of our upcoming missions trip and give them a big thank you from Mirjam for their prayers and support, as many people at this church sponsor children at Bethesda.

A couple of you have asked how you could pray for us; here are the main ones:

    • Safe travels: no loss of luggage, our personal safety, smooth transition of our flights, and the train ride.
    • Our health: that the jet lag wouldn’t be so bad and we would be able to get into the daily routine quickly.
    • That we would be a blessing to everyone there and be able to show the love of Christ to these kids.

Thank you so much; it means a lot.

With the craziness of everything this last week, this will be the final post before I leave; next time I write, I’ll be writing to you from Taiwan! Stay tuned to hear about how our trip went (hopefully all smoothly), and I’ll post some pictures as well.

Soli Deo Gloria!
